A product studio
that pushes
back.
We help people and businesses turn ideas into tangible products, fast, strategically, and built to ship. Strategy and execution. With the nerve to do both.
Ruckus to break it open.
Reason to build it right.
The ruckus is the energy we bring to stuck problems: the nerve to ask what if, the willingness to challenge the brief, the push toward ambitious scope. The reason is the discipline that makes it productive: user research, tested decisions, prototypes in front of real people, work that ships.
Human-Centered
We put real people in front of prototypes, not personas in a doc. Research, usability testing, and iteration are how we make sure the thing actually works.
Outcome-Oriented
We measure success by what ships. Strategy without execution is just a PDF nobody reads. Every engagement is structured around a tangible outcome.
Innovation-Driven
We bring creative approaches from gaming arcades to medical devices. Unexpected inputs, unconventional methods, work that doesn't look like everyone else's.
Two builders.
One studio.
We're not a big agency. We're two people who've spent careers turning complex problems into working products, and we built Ruckus & Reason because we believe that's better done lean, fast, and with real accountability.
Ruckus without reason is noise.
Reason without ruckus is a PDF nobody reads.

From zero to product.
At speed.
We cover the full arc from discovery to delivery, using AI-native methods to compress timelines without cutting corners.
Product Strategy & Development
Product/market fit analysis, scope sizing, roadmapping, and end-to-end product development. We help you figure out what to build, validate it quickly, and ship it.
UX Design & Rapid Prototyping
User research, usability testing, interaction design, and rapid prototyping. We go from concept to clickable prototype to user feedback in days, not months.
AI-Powered Product Acceleration
Leveraging Claude and other AI tools to dramatically speed up development, from generating and testing code to building AI features directly into products like natural language querying and intelligent automation.
Microsoft Power Platform
Power Apps, Dataverse, Copilot integration, and QA automation. We build and extend business applications within the Microsoft ecosystem quickly and effectively.
Data, Analytics & Workflows
Turning messy information into clear decisions. Dashboards, interactive visualizations, pipelines, and automation that moves data where it needs to go. Built for the people who have to act on it, not just look at it.
Business Process Optimization
Rethinking how work actually gets done. We map the process, find the friction, and rebuild it with better data and smarter workflows. Faster cycle times, less manual effort, teams freed up for work that actually matters.
Real problems.
Tangible outcomes.
A look at how we have turned complex challenges into working products.
Medical Training Simulator
Hardware + software prototype for colonoscopy training in developing countries
The Challenge
Doctors in developing countries needed a way to learn colonoscopy technique before working with patients. Existing simulators cost millions. The client needed something affordable, portable, and technologically advanced.
The Work
After observing live procedures, we identified that the critical skill gap was hand-eye coordination at scope insertion. We designed and built both the hardware prototype and a companion training application:
- App onboarding that taught hardware buttons and scope mechanics. Software and hardware working as one system
- Structured learning: core required modules, then choose your own adventure skill tracks identified through physician interviews
- Gamified practice: each skill was introduced with an exercise, then reinforced with a game requiring the user to apply what they just learned
- Strategic pricing insight: junior doctors are not the buyers. Senior doctors responsible for training are. Reframed the go-to-market toward senior physicians and recommended a dashboard for tracking trainee progress and accountability
Delivered
A fully branded hardware and software prototype, validated with users in Japan, along with a strategic business plan for productionizing the concept.
We visited gaming arcades in Japan to study how games teach players to use hardware buttons without written language: lights, universal imagery, intuitive visual communication. Those learnings went directly into the software onboarding. If we could play Japanese arcade games without reading Japanese, doctors could learn scope controls without a manual.
Client Profitability Intelligence Module
Net-new feature for a data integration & analytics SaaS platform
The Challenge
The founder had deep domain knowledge and a clear vision for a profitability analysis feature, but there was a gap between that vision and engineering requirements.
The Work
Working AI-natively, we took the founder's requirements and within one week had a branded, locally-hosted prototype in front of real customers for feedback. The module showed clear profitability status, benchmarked clients against their own goals, and surfaced actionable guidance for sales conversations.
- Built an AI-powered Q&A feature so users could query the data in natural language
- Introduced PostHog for feature flagging, enabling incremental rollout to select customers rather than a risky big-bang launch
- Prototyped the full capability to 90% production-readiness, then worked closely with the dev team to refine and hand off for the final build
Delivered
A customer-validated, near-production feature that empowered the sales team to have more effective conversations and gave operations real visibility into client health.
